Help ...
My domain name sold at GoDaddy Auctions using Buy it now, but, now the status of my auction says open/active again. How do I find out why the sale didn’t finalize?

@coffeecozies when was the domain name sold? Go to your auction manager and go to "sold" and let me know what the status says. You can also email auctions@godaddy.com for more info.

Buying was easy enough to do so why is selling so complicated? Basically you are paying to sell. This means you have to bump up the selling price to cover it. My site was quoted as $888 then when I went to sell it was estimated at $172 !!! Confused Dot Melldrew

@Melldrew Well technically yes, you're paying a commission to list the domain name on Godaddy to be pitched in front of millions of people. I sell A LOT of domains on Godaddy and I work the commission into my price. As far as appraisals, no appraisals are accurate for domain names. A domain is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Thank you for the feedback, understood. Will have to wait and see how much if at all the domain sells for. Have variations of the domain which I may sell in future.

@Melldrew If the status says available again then the sale probably didn't go through. I've only had 2-3 of those personally out of hundreds of sales. Email auctions@godaddy.com for more info.
