Initiating domain transfer - There was an error processing your request.

I am trying to initiate a transfer in to Godaddy.  The domain is a .org.uk domain.  On entering the FQDN into the dialogue I see message about getting information from the current registrar and then I always get

 

"There was an error processing your request. Please try again."

 

I saw a similar thread at https://www.godaddy.com/community/Domain-Transfers/Getting-error-message-when-trying-to-transfer-Dom... which is marked as solved but there is no solution given.

Hi @Dama,

 

Welcome to the Community!

See the information under "Transfers in". When entering the domain on the front of our website, be sure not to enter "www" in front of the domain. You will need to contact your current registrar to have them update the IPS Tag to GODADDY. Once that is done, and you purchase the transfer (for $0.00), the move will take only minutes.

I added DNS as per the instructions.

 

IPS tag is updated to GODADDY

 

I go to the domain transfer search dialogue from the purchase a domain transfer link in that article.

 

I enter the domain which is a .org.uk domain.  I do not enter the www.

 

I get "There was an error processing your request. Please try again."

Emails from Godaddy ref the tag change have been received so I know that part is ok..

ok, I think I have it.  It works if I use Chrome.  It doesn't work with Safari.
