i purchase a domain name , let say example.com
is that domain name :
1. example.com
is both example.com and www.example.com belong to me?
Hi @justandrew,
Yes.
The term www (World Wide Web) refers to the collection of public Web sites connected to the Internet worldwide, together with the client devices such as computers and cell phones that access its content.
While www is no longer necessary for a website to function, www is automatically setup as a Canonical Name record in your DNS by default after you register a new domain. It will act as an alias, that is, it is setup to resolve to the same website the domain is pointed to by default and will remain so unless you change it.
