Creating a sub-domain from my new domain name

I just purchased a domain name that I will use later when I create my website. For now, I wanted to create a sub-domain for my replicated affiliate website. How do I do that?

Re: Creating a sub-domain from my new domain name

Hi   , I hope you are doing well. Thanks for posting in GoDaddy community.

You can create a subdomain record in your DNS (Domain Name System) zone file for a domain registered with GoDaddy. To add a subdomain that points to a domain name or URL, you can add a CNAME. To manage DNS for a domain not registered with GoDaddy, you can use DNS hosting.

  1. Go to your GoDaddy product page.
  2. Click Manage All next to Domains.
  3. Scroll down to the Additional Settings section and select Manage DNS.
  4. On the DNS Management page, at the bottom of the Records section, click Add.
  5. Select A from the Type drop-down menu.
  6. Complete the required fields
  7. Click Save to complete the process.
