Make sure to delete all MX records that are NOT for the service you are using, for example domains purchased at GoDaddy are set up for their email by default:

Here is an article I found at ipage on the MX records for their email services, let me know if they provided you different information:

http://www.ipage.com/knowledgebase/read_article.bml?kbid=8083

It looks like they want you to create 2-3 A records:

https://www.godaddy.com/help/add-an-a-record-19238

A record-

Host: mx

Points to: (chose a different IP from the ipage article above for each record)

#

Then create 2 MX records that point to those A records:

https://www.godaddy.com/help/add-an-mx-record-19234

MX1 priority 10 points to mx.yourdomain.com
MX2 priority 20 points to mx.yourdomain.com

(using your actual domain in place of yourdomain.com)

I used your setup a few months back after having issues with our original configuration like in the original post.  I now have 3 MX records and 3 A records for the three listed ipage mail servers.  However, I occasionally get messages that cannot get through to one domain...to the domain, but we can receive from the domain.

Any advice on setting up an TXT/SPF record?  My domain is hosted by GoDaddy and mail hosted by iPage.  I know where to make the update and I have seen the GoDaddy instruction on the how to...just not sure.

A mx1 66.96.142.50 (ipage)
A mx2 66.96.142.51 (ipage)
A mx3 66.96.142.52 (ipage)

MX @ mx1.mydomain.com (Priority: 10)
MX @ mx2.mydomain.com (Priority: 20)
MX @ mx3.mydomain.com (Priority: 30)

Hi @CHROHL, thanks for posting.

Only knowing the MX Records, it's hard to say what the error might be. I suggest contacting iPage regarding any errors you are encountered.

They would also need to provide you with the correct SPF records to use with your domain name.
