Find number of visitors to website

I have a new website I have just published.

I want to know if it is getting any visitors. Help says

  1. Log in to your GoDaddy account.
  2. Click Web Hosting.
  3. Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Manage.
  4. Click Plesk Admin

I do not have this. If I click 'manage' I just get my details + options for extra. Plesk doesn't appear anywhere on the page.

Is there a simple way of finding the number of visitors?

Thanks

Only the stand-alone Web Hosting like cPanel or Plesk would appear in this category, if you have an integrated product like Websites + Marketing or Managed WordPress Hosting they would be listed in their own category under My Products.

For Websites + Marketing click "Manage" and there's a snapshot on the dashboard, or you can get more detailed information by activating Google Analytics.

For WordPress you would need to edit the theme or use a plugin to activate Google Analytics.

Do you have a Plesk Hosting plan or are you using something else for the website?

Google offers a free Analytics tool to get a better understanding of visitors to your site.

I have no idea what the hosting is. I just made the website via GoDaddy and published it.

Ooh er I'm still confused. I can't see any html anywhere. I just used the Go Daddy website build tool and made a simple website for our community event. My Products gives me a page detailing the site and the domain, but clicking through either leads me to a simple editing page or my own details. Could this be because I am in the initial free month? Should I phone the help desk?

It sounds like you're using Websites + Marketing, which is the current generation website builder platform from GoDaddy.  On the My Products page scroll down until you find the product section and click "Manage".
