How to install your own SSL certificate for FREE with GoDaddy
This appears to have been a hot topic in many forums where some say that GoDaddy doesn't support you installing your own SSL such as LetsEncrypt. There are various methods I've tried such as SSH and it gets messy.
However, in my guide below I managed to install it in the easiest way I think currently possible with GoDaddy.
Please note, I have a shared deluxe hosting package so you may not have the option to manage SSL certificates if you're on a different hosting package.
The above is a good walk though, but it should be stressed that this is a fairly technical process. While we don't have a guide written for generating a certificate, you can watch this video for an updated description on how to install a 3rd party certificate on our cPanel accounts. For more information on installing 3rd party certificates on our other hosting platforms, please see this help article.
