I understand now, thanks @colonD. If you're looking to use the custom domains on GitHub pages you can follow the help tutorial at Setting up an apex domain and follow those instructions.

Come back and let us know if that works for you @mlsuho. I hope that helps?

Full disclosure: I could be way wrong here @mlsuho.

Given what I understand to be your request this isn't something you can do? You would need to have control of the Github domains to be able to manipulate the SSL certificate on it. Though you have control of your pages on Github the ability you need is lacking. You can make sure that all of your references and links are to secure Github pages and make sure that your own domain is secure.

To my understanding you want to have the SSL certificate for https://github.com/misuho/whatever-project read as your own? If I don't understand correctly please let me know.

No, I think what they are saying is, We can host our own site on Github, which will be of the format username.github.io. What the asker wants to do is configure their custom domain to do this : Github Pages Custom Domain

I've tried to do the same, but get an error saying that my site is not secured. I have my SSL certificate, but without having a hosting I dont know what to do with it
