Hi,
I have a website created in Website Builder with HTML embedded in some pages. In one of these pages I have a link to an external website. The website is only 'HTTP:\\'. I have specified 'HTTP:\\' in the HTML link but, whenever I run the site and click the link I get an error 'SSL_ERROR_INTERNAL_ERROR_ALERT'. and I find that the URL in the address bar has changed to HTTPS:\\.
I can modify the URL in the address bar and the site displays perfectly. I can call the site from other links including a link in the link bar on the browser. I have tried the link in a nymber of different browsers... Chrome, IE, Firefox and Android and the result is always the same so I conclude that the issue is not with the browser.
How do I get round this.
Regards
Rob
Solved! Go to Solution.
When you move your cursor over the external URL, what do you see...
Is it HTTP or HTTPS?, Also source code will tell you...
Please provide your website URL to investigate this issue...
Thank you

Looks like Website Builder is forcing HTTPS, anyway try this;
---------->1.
Are you able to create Text Links on a page?, Something like insert link in this forum...
---------->2.
Instead of creating Action Buttons, create menu or navigation links...
Bikes
-----Articles
-----Links
----------External link 1
----------External link 2
----------External link 3
-----Projects
-----Image Galleries
-----Downloads
Please try on page Text Links or navigation links...
Hope this helps

Hi,
I've now set up dummy links using action buttons and navigation links in the website builder sections and these links work as expected. I've also set up the HTML segment that I used as an independent web page. The link works as expected.
However, the link when the segment inserted into the Wedsite Builder HTML section still converts to hpps and won't work... needless to say, this is where I want it!
I may be able to work round the issue unsing navigation links but I'd still like to be in control of what is happening when I use html.
