WordPress Classic Editor as default editor

The WordPress theme I'm using is not 100% compatible with the latest version of WordPress and one of the pages is showing the short code.

The theme developer asked to enable the Classic Editor as the default editor. However, once I save the change, the settings revert back to the Block Editor (screenshot here).

Does anyone have the instructions to enable the Classic Editor as the default editor?

Re: WordPress Classic Editor as default editor

If anybody has the same issue, this is what I was told my the support team at Godaddy:

"The only way to activate the Classic editor is to enable one of default WordPress themes and then to enable your "E-event" theme again.
Problem is, after enabling the theme Classic editor was disabled again."

Basically, unless the theme vendor helps, there's no solution.
