Re: Set up email with CPanel

Hi, I have done this DNS config, but when sending emails I always get a bounce back.

Also, testing with mxtoolbox.com, I see the below:

Connecting to x.x.x.x
SendSMTPCommand: Timeout waiting for response after 15 seconds.
LookupServer 15485ms

Is there anything additional you need to do in cPanel?

Thank you,

Rui

Welcome to the community - I moved your post to a new thread rather than continuing on a resolved thread.

What is your domain name?

Re: Set up email with CPanel/

My domain is apiwrks.com

I have a O365 email account but was looking to change to a hybrid solution.

Plan was to use cPanel hosting as main mail server and create forward to @
onmicrosoft.com for users that have O365 mailboxes.

Nevertheless, I had to revert setup back to O365 because email service
wasn’t working.

There is something here on Microsoft's site about "pilot office 365" https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/admin/setup/domains-faq?view=o365-worldwide#can-i-pilot-o...

Personally I would not recommend this as you would then have to keep track of what is setup where - I personally would have O365 be the mail server

Re: Set up email with CPanel//?isc=gdcommment

Agree, and I would prefer O365 to be mail server too to take advantage of
HA, etc... but the limitation here is my O365 subscription (I have business
premium) doesn't allow me to configure a mail flow to forward non O365 mail
to my local mail server. Seems this feature is only available in full blown
O365.
