Add my email to Sony Email on Android
Step 5 of the Set up my Professional Email series.
Add your Professional Email account to Sony Email on Android. Then you can send and receive business emails from your device.
- Open your Email app.
- New users: you'll see the Welcome to Email screen. Tap Get Started.
- Existing users: select Menu, tap Options and select Add account.
- New users: you'll see the Welcome to Email screen. Tap Get Started.
- Enter your email address and tap Next.
- Enter your email password and tap Next.
- Select your preferred Syncing option and tap Next. (You can change this setting later if you need to.)
- Select your preferred Notification option and tap Next. (You can change this setting later if you need to.)
The Sony Email app auto-discovers your email account settings and adds it to your Android.
If you want to add your email to another device, click Previous. If you're all set, head to the next step.
Troubleshooting
- If Android can't auto-discover your email account, try entering the following server and port settings:
- IMAP incoming server: imap.secureserver.net:993
- IMAP password: Professional Email password
- SMTP outgoing server: smtpout.secureserver.net:465 (or 587)
- SMTP password: Professional Email password
