Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy Help

Find my Microsoft 365 server settings

Warning: Using POP or IMAP server settings is strongly discouraged. Starting October 2022, Microsoft 365 accounts set up as POP and IMAP won’t be able to connect to their mailboxes in email clients using Basic authentication. Basic authentication is an outdated industry standard that'll be deprecated. We recommend updating your account to use Exchange settings (it might be listed as Office 365 or Microsoft 365, depending on your email client). Learn more from Microsoft.

We recommend using Exchange settings with your Microsoft 365 account. However, some email clients don't support Exchange, so you'll need to use your server settings to manually set up email.

  1. Sign in to Outlook on the web. Use your Microsoft 365 email address and password (your GoDaddy username and password won't work here).
  2. In the upper-right corner, select settings gear icon Settings, then view all Outlook settings.
  3. Select Mail, and then select Sync mail. You'll see the POP, IMAP and SMTP settings for Microsoft 365.
select settings and then select mail flow

To set up your email for your client or device, use your Port number (IMAP or POP) for incoming mail and your SMTP for outgoing mail.

Note: If you can't set up email with SMTP, your account's SMTP Authentication might be disabled. You need to enable SMTP Authentication first.
